So I bought myself this velour duvet cover for my bed...what the hell was I thinking?? It looked gorgeous until the cats spread their orange and white hair all over it!!! Now it is all grungy looking. Hrmph. I have to get myself a lint brush now!!

Stubby
On Thursday afternoon my daughter decided to give Oscar a hair cut. She found that out the hard way, as did Oscar, that cats aren't stuffed animals that can't be hurt. She got a hold of my scissors and cut 3 inches of his skin and fur off leaving the bone! The cat came racing down the stairs with his bone and blood hanging out and she was standing at the top holding the severed piece of tail saying "Mommy I cut kitten hair" like something out of a Child's Play movie!!! The poor cat had to have the bone and a couple of extra inches amputated so now his tail is only about 8 inches long. He is no longer identical to his brother. He is doing great though (300$ later) and is in good spirits and actually friendlier than ever for some reason. He is also getting noticably fatter than his brother...he weighs 12 lbs!! At 10 months old that' s alot...
The end of his tail looks weird because they had to shave it to operate. The vet said that his fur will grow completely back and it will look like a normal tail...just shorter!!!! Poor guy :(

Remembering...
Romeo was the best cat ever...until I got pregnant. Then he started to pee on my bed, my couch, my clothes, etc. He was so cool though before that because I would just pat my chest and he would jump into my arms. He wanted nothing else but to be with me. He used to wrap himself around the back of my neck and sleep there when I would sit down to watch TV or read. I miss him every day and hope he is still alive and making someone else happy. He had to go to the Humane Society and I cried so hard when I dropped him off that I could barely drive home.

This was Misty. She died last year at the age of 17. We got her when I was probably about 10 years old (duh, 27-17=10 right?)
Asthma Attack
While the Laser pointer is a lot of fun, sometimes I worry that Sunny is going to keel over from over exertion!! I've never seen a cat pant so hard in my life!! Sounds like there is a dog in the room!!
